Bedside Cot Reviews
A bedside crib, sometimes referred to as a bassinet for babies, is placed near your bed to ensure that you can safely take care of your child during feedings at night and nappy-changings without needing to leave the bed. They are also ideal for creating independence as your little one gets more comfortable in their own space to sleep.
The Joie Roomie Glide
The Joie Roomie Glide is a bedside crib that lets parents sleep together with their baby while making sure that they're asleep safely. Its smooth gliding motion helps to lull your baby back into sleep and its innovative features allow you to monitor them without having to leave your bed.
The cot's sliding side panel can be raised and lowered with the touch of the button, making it a breeze to reach in and soothe a crying baby at night. It also comes with 11 height adjustments that let it fit on the mattress of almost any size bed and it comes with adjustable feet that fold down to ensure it's placed at just the right height.
In terms of safety the cot is padded and fitted with mesh sides for better airflow, and the mattress is made from high-density foam for extra protection. It is also wipeable, so you can keep the cot clean. It is fitted with a mattress sheet that can be used for the crib.
Unlike some other bedside cribs like the Roomie Glide is suitable for most beds, including divans thanks to its straps and clip attachment. It can also be used as a stand-alone crib when it's not connected to your bed, and it's full of amazing features that were specifically designed with the bonding between parents and babies in mind.
One thing to bear in mind is that while this crib is perfect for infants, it will not last long after your little one turns six months old, and you will have to purchase larger cots. But, in general Roanna felt that the Joie Roomie Glide was a very good purchase and she was particularly impressed by its sleek design.
cheap bedside cot is available to purchase at John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna felt was an affordable price for a cot with the most advanced features. She was pleased with the way it was positioned in her bedroom, and thought its grey color would fit most modern homes. However, she pointed out that it isn't an ideal idea to rock a smaller baby as it could set a bad habit for later sleep patterns.
The Tutti Bambini CoZee
The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib is designed to provide a good night's rest. It has a drop-side rail which can be easily lowered for nighttime feeds without having to disturb your baby or get them out of bed It's perfect for mothers who are breastfeeding! It's also lightweight and easy to move around during nap time or for travel.
We love the fact that it's made of soft materials that have mesh sides that are breathable, which promote airflow and comfort. It's available in charcoal and oak and comes with a variety of melange fabric options that blend well with most decor styles. Anna found it to be solid and secure when it was attached to her bed. The legs snapped into place and the zippers were secure for safety. It took Anna about 10 minutes to put it together and didn't require any tools. There are clear instructions along with a video and customer service number should you have any problems.
The CoZee crib comes with all the features you'd expect from a crib to your bedside, such as the ability to attach it to your existing bed using a stay-in place connection system. It also comes with six height settings. Additionally it has an inclines feature that can be used to aid infants suffering from reflux or congestion. It can also be washed by a machine essential for all the spills, vomit, and snot that accompany a new baby!
The CoZee is a fantastic option if you want to keep your child in the first six months of acquiring the ability to sleep independently. It can be used as a crib, changing station or toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa bed extension kit, it can be converted into a bed. And while it won't feed your baby or magically sleep them, it will rock them until they go off!
The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of Chicco’s more expensive options. However, it comes with many amazing features. It can be used as either a side-sleeper or a standalone crib, and is suitable for infants ranging from birth to six months. It has a new mechanism to open and close the side panel, and is easy to use, even for one-handed operation. It's also more flexible than its predecessor, having 11 different height settings as well as retractable legs for a secure installation underneath any bed.
Our testers loved the easy access the side panel provides, which can be flipped up and down at the touch of one button. This was an enormous help in feedings at night because it meant they could reach into and take their baby away without waking them.
It is possible to lower the side panel itself but this is not advised, as it increases the risk that your child could fall out of the cot. The patented safety locking system makes sure that the side panel will only stay down if it is attached correctly to the parent's mattress. This feature is fantastic for peace of mind if you breastfeed and require frequent feedings at night.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be compatible with any bed that is divan-based as well as beds with drawers due to the telescopic legs. It also has tilting functions to help babies who are refluxy and a rocking mode that can bring them back to sleep after feeding. It is also very large and offers excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.
Our test participants found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, however it does come with a long instruction manual. It's heavier than other side-sleepers, however it's very mobile and can be moved from room room easily. It's also small enough to fit into a travel bag when not in use, which is a plus in the event that you have to transport it. The only drawback our testers noticed was that the side panel did not flex as much as some of the other models, making it difficult to observe your child from your own bed.
The Shnuggle Air
If you're in search of a crib for your bed that will develop with your child, then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth looking into. It's a crib for co-sleeping that can be attached securely to your bed and can be turned into a stylish cot once your baby is old enough. It is ideal for feeding your baby at night and enhancing the bond between you and your baby's new.
Contrary to other cribs for bed The Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. The mesh side panels with dual-view and airflow mattress that is hypoallergenic and breathable maximize airflow and keep your baby cool and comfortable. The gentle incline helps alleviate colic and reflux. The zip-down side allows you to feed your baby or soothe them at night.
The cot conversion kit is also well-designed, with clear instructions. It comes with everything you need. It took us about an hour to assemble and was reasonably straightforward. The only drawback to the instructions was that certain images did not have captions. This made it difficult to follow. Overall, the procedure was simple and the materials used were of top quality.
The Shnuggle Air is a great option for mothers who are nursing or have had C-sections. It lets them reach out and touch their baby to comfort them and feeding without leaving their bed. It's great for parents who don't want to deal with the stress of putting their child in a traditional cot, or getting out of it.

During our testing we noticed the smooth motion of the next-to-me crib to be particularly helpful when it comes to getting babies to sleep after feedings at night and midday. The drop-down sides make it easy to feed or soothe babies during the night. This was a major selling point for our tired moms who took part in our tests. The Joie Roomie Glide is a elegant and practical crib that isn't rocking, nor does it come with extra features like an audio system.
